Science Week Celebration.
The Middle School celebrated Science week with a day rotating among the middle school classes learning everything from making 'goo' to eating lava rocks from erupting volcanoes, electrical circuitry and magnetism! In Room 17, with Mrs Howie, we learned that magnets have a North and South pole. We also learned that opposite poles attract and like poles repel. That means they either like each other, or they don't!

The Middle School Visits Motuihe Island
On a gloriously sunny day, the Middle School travelled from Half Moon Bay to Motuihe Island. A large number of parents assisted teachers in supervising the students. Children participated in cooperative games, swimming, sketching, beach exploration and walking to lookout points. Class activities before and after the trip reflected and built on the experiences gained on this trip.
