Here are some photos taken at our recent classroom ribbon cutting and opening ceremony. It was a fun night for families with games and activities run by SKIDS, barbecues and food stalls run by parents and students. We had a formal and official Maori powhiri welcome and blessing of the building. Please enjoy these photos.
We are entertaining at Assembly. We are singing some of the Christmas carols that we are going to sing at a retirement home later this month. Born to Sing is a fun choir that meets at lunchtimes and anyone who loves to sing is allowed to join.
During Term 2 the Middle School has been learning about how things fly. At the beginning of the term we had a visit from an expert. We saw many model planes and went down to the bottom field to watch one fly.

Middle School students enjoyed our chess lesson last Friday. We learned the names of the chess pieces and the way that each chess piece can move. We had fun having a game with a partner.
The Middle School held its swimming sports today. There were races for everyone: freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke lengths of the pool (20m,) kickboard widths, underwater races and running races. The interclass relay was a highlight.
